Purpose
Backlog Refinement is an ongoing process in Scrum where the Product Owner and the Development Team collaboratively review and update the Product Backlog. The primary purpose is to ensure that the backlog remains well-defined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints. This activity helps the team understand the scope, priority, and details of the work items to be completed.
Ensure that user stories and tasks are clearly defined and understood by the team.
Adjust the priority of backlog items based on the latest information and business needs.
Provide effort estimates for user stories to help with sprint planning and resource allocation.
Decompose larger backlog items into smaller, more manageable tasks.
Ensure that the top items in the backlog are ready for the next sprint planning session.
